NJIT Season Outlook
Posted by: news on Thursday, December 14, 2006 - 08:50 PM EST
College Hoops St. John's play NJIT on 12/21/06. This is the first year that the NJIT Men's basketball team is participating in Division I. They started the seaon with wins over Manhattan and Rider but have lost 8 in a row since then. The game against St. John's will be their Superbowl for this season and it is even highlighted in their media guide. This is not a total cupcake and SJT cannot afford to treat them as such.

The following is the season outlook as published in their media guide. Link to download the full media guide is below.

From Now On, Jim, I Give No Quarter

College Hoops The funny thing - well, maybe it's not so funny - is the final straw had nothing to do with the written word. That last little push came from talking on the air with WFAN's Mike Francesa and Chris Russo about the Marcus Williams suspension.

Radio talk shows pack the big punch these days. The considered written phrase is less potent than the rashly shouted one in the 21st century sports world. And when the talk show emanates from New York, those words pack the biggest 50,000-watt punch of all.

To be honest, the war with Jim Calhoun has been a cold one

However, Qa'rraan Calhoun misfired on a deep trey, and his

As March progressed -- and the signs were becoming clearer that Matt Doherty would not survive at North Carolina -- there was little question what was going to happen in April.
