College Hoops St. John's vs. Duke highlights Madison Square Garden schedule

NEW YORK (AP) - St. John's vs. Duke, the Big East tournament and the NIT championship game highlight Madison Square Garden's college basketball schedule this season.

St. John's, North Carolina, Iona and Manhattan will

participate in the 50th anniversary Holiday Festival on Dec. 27-28.

The arena's season opens with St. John's facing the Harlem Globetrotters on Nov. 8. A week later is the Coaches vs. Cancer Classic, including Syracuse vs. Memphis, and Oklahoma vs. Alabama.

St. John's has six Big East games slated for Madison Square Garden and will play Duke there March 2.

The Big East tournament is March 12-15. The NIT semifinals are April 1, the final April 3.
