NEW: Private Messages / Member List
Posted by: redmen
Redmen.com News Two new and improved features on Redmen.com are the Private messaging and interactive Member List. Both of these features are available to only to registered Members.

These are a few tips on usage:
1) You will see new messages waiting by two indicators: A) In the Membership box on the upper right of your Redmen.com screen. When you have new and unread messages a little mail icon will appear in this box. Simply click on it and you will be taken to your private messages. B) on the left column there is a menu box for "Who's Online" in addition to the indicators as to the number of guests and members online you will also see a listing of the number of private messages that you have. This will include the total of all unread and read messages. By clicking on the number, this will take you to your private messages.

You can also go to your messages by clicking on the "Messages" link in the Main Menu.

When using messages, you can reply to messages by hitting Reply to any message that you are reading. The recipient is automatically formatted. You can also hit the "Send" button and a new message will appear where you can manually type in the username of who you want to send to. Be careful here because the user name must be exactly as it appears in the member list or the message will not go through. A more efficient method will be to go to the Member List (available in the Main Menu) and choose the member that you want to send to.

After clicking on a Member, you will see a link to "Send a private message to ..." the member name will automatically be filled in for you.

Note: effective as of 01/31/02
