Glenmorangie, The Lasanta, Sherry Cask Stength, Highland Single Malt Scotch Whiskey Paulaner Ranking (scale of 1-10=best): 9.75, should be consumed with a fine smooth, medium to full bodied cigar. Don't drink and drive.
My friends, this Scotch is like manna from heaven. I had a lot of choices when looking for a bottle to celebrate New Year's Eve. This one just jumped out at me, saying come and taste me. 46.2% alcohol = 92.4 proofl. That sounds like a loaded gun of alcohol but this wonderful extra-matured Sherry Finish beverage is just a treat. I know, I opened it before New Year's, my bad. Twelve years old and produced from the finest barley and mineral rich water, The Lasanta "warmth and passion" in Gaelic, is a mixture of warm, creamy and nutty flavors. Mature Glenmorangie is removed from its original bourban cask and finished in Spanish Oloroso Sherry casks. This non chill-filtered spirit has extra taste and texture from its "extra-maturing" in the Sherry casks. Sweetened by the Sherry casks it is bottled at cask strength.
Happy New Year. Prost! |
