Manhasset gets the #1 spot, West Genny at #3 and South Side gets robbed with a #5......

Personally I think it should be Manhasset, South Side and West Genny in the top 3 spots. The two maryland teams had at least 3 or 4 losses each..

Also take a look at the girls rankings, the #1 team in the land had a strength of schedule rank of of 754 in the country........ Who cares if your undefeated at that level.........

I just love how this guy runs this site, maryland always gets the highest Strength of Schedule #. I wonder if it has anything to do with the fact that he was born and raised there.

Frankly, after watching West Genesee take apart West Islip, I feel that there ranking of #6 was a bit overrated, but nobody can argue with their record. West Genesee was simply a much better coached team IMO, but WI had plenty of nice individual talent.

Those MIAA fans in Maryland will have you believe that they deserve the top 4 spots. The best teams in the MIAA are VERY good, but you can't argue with a record. Many argue Manhassett being #1, but in my opinion that is absolutely ridiculous. Manhassett was the best team that I've seen all season easily. Not only did they beat a host of good Long Island teams all season and win the states undefeated, but they also beat the best team in Connecticut in Darien. The second best was West Genessee.

I didn't see any of the Maryland teams play so I can't speak. There are some nice NJ teams as well like Delbarton and Mt. Lakes, but I have not seen them play either.

That league in Maryland is tough from top to bottom. The LI leagues will have some lower level teams that are not nearly as strong as the MD teams. I oculd understand the SOS being stronger.

Problem is that Long Island teams play much more varied competition, and many strong teams as well. Strength of schedule is silly because Manhassett beat the best teams in at least 2 states. The MIAA teams only play themselves... It can not be compared, but no matter how strong the MIAA is, there is only a handful of good teams...in NY there are tons..
