...between the Dodgers, Red Sox and Blue Jays that would have Delgado end up in Boston and Nomar in LA. Just a rumor I heard. Could pick up steam considering Nomar begged out of last night's game against the Yankees.

Also heard Nomar to Cubs for Matt Clement.

I have also heard the Nomar for Clement deal and that is probably a better option for the Red Sox. Mind you Diehard Yankee Season ticket holder speaking here
But trading for Delgado will actually hurt the Sox. How can they then juggle Trot, Ortiz, and Millar with a newly acquired Delgado.
I would bet Delgado ends up in LA in a desperate attempt to get Shawn Green's bat going with his good friend on board.

I'm a Yankee fan but, it must be hard on Nomar. He really put his heart and soul into the BoSox and they made it clear to him time and time again that he wasn't wanted. That team is in utter choas.

Like it was pointed out on a recent telecast.
They are a DYSFUNCTIONAL FAMILY.
Nobody at all likes Nomar.
Then there are the little cliques:
Manny-Ortiz-Pedro
Varitek-Nixon-Millar-Mueller-Lowe
Schilling is on his own island like Nomar
A clubhouse cannot be divided like that.

I can see Delgado becioming a Dodger and Nomar to join him next season as a free agent. McCourt loves Nomar and can get him without giving up anything. New GM of the Dodgers will be desperate and give up top prospects for Delgado.

the red sox don't need a shakeup...they need someone how can catch the ball.
i know francona has a five year deal...but brenly's just been fired by the diamondbacks...he knows how to beat the yankees.

HAHA, this doesn't belong here hehe. 7-1 as the mets defense has come back to show us that its still the same. Piazza thorws one away and wiggington can't field a grounder. Mets have NO RIGHT to be ahead by this much. Yankees have made a bunch of mistakes and the Trax can't throw strike 1 against the Yankees it isn't going to last long wouldn't be surprise if this is actually a game before said and done...
the cubs will not make that deal. until wood comes back, they need the starting pitching.
The Nomar for Clement rumor is exactly what it is rumor. There is no way the Cubs will trade Clement, with both of there star pitchers battling injuries they need him. The Dodgers would be stupid to do the trade also when they can go after Nomar in the offseason. They might be sellers soon anyways.

Newsman I'm not quite sure that Brenly can count on broken bat singles and back to back bad throws. Maybe if he brings Johnson with him that might help.

Battling injuries???? Have you seen how lights out Prior has been lately. I understand with Wood currently down they will not trade but lets say come July 31 if Wood is back he joins Prior and they still have Maddux who has pitched well and ZAM is probably the best pitcher for them all year.
I believe I read that Clement is like Nomar a FA after the season and the Cubs do not think they can re-sign him. While they probably couldnt resign NOMAH either they would be able to live with the 4 starters I mentioned minus Clement with Nomar as a significant upgrade at SS.
As for the Dodgers they have a good system and while they could get NOMAH for free after the year they are currently 2 games out of first and many ppl in LA LA land think they are 1 bat away from doing some serious damage.
This trade deadline I think will be one of the most interesting in awhile.

Ramirez is not part of any clique. He is in his on world (but what a hitter).
Nomar is looking to sign with a West Coast team so the if he winds up somewhere else than on the left coast this season, the team that lands him will be just renting him.
For reasons mentioned by Moose, Delgado to the Sox just doesn't make since, but then again stranger things have happened.
Brenly made some of the dumbest moves in not just the 2001 World Series but during the playoffs and the regular season. The DBacks won despite his questionable tactics. He was never well liked in the clubhouse and has managing skill have been talkshow fodder for years.
While I do believe that chemisty has helped the Yankees through this run (especially in the early part), you don't have to like each other or hang out with each other to win. The 70 As and 86 Mets proved that. But the Red Sox have always been none as a 25 player, 25 cabs sort of team which may explain 1918.

Latest rumor I've read is Nomar to the Marlins for a pitcher. (Pavano? Penny?)
