You can take your terrible towels and go home now. You have met the champs and been soundly spanked.
As predicted (you heard it here first), if the Pats got out to a 10 point lead, it was going to be a long day for Pittsburgh. Roethlisburger attempted the fewest passes per game of any QB in the league this season, and once the league got some tape on him after 9 or 10 games his magic carpet ride took an abrupt downturn.
Indy, check; Pittsburgh, check - on to Jacksonville to meet the Eagles.
And BTW, the Eagles have no chance. It will be Corey Dillon Day vs their low-ranked rush defense, and while McNabb can probably read the NE defense better than most, but those receivers are not going to get open against it.

Lawmanfan, nice post.
As a Giants fan, I was rooting hard for the Pats. (I like Belichick a lot, and I dislike Philly so the Pats represent the best chance at beating them in the Super Bowl).
Moreover, I was nice to see the clock stike midnight on Lil' Ben. (The clock read 11:45 pm against the Jets), as was watching Cowher lose yet another championsip game at home (make that 4).
(By the way, how many of you were wondering why was Cowher going for that field goal in the fourth quarter).
The only thing that would have made it better was watching Andy Reid slobber again in a loss. Oh well, that will have to wait a couple of weeks.
Seriously, congrats on your Pats. They are without a doubt, the BEST run organization in sports. Moreso than the Yankees, because of the salary cap.
With a win in the Super Bowl, NE will be officially a dynasty. And in this day and age, that is remakable.
From the ownership, to the player personnel, to the coaching, everyone gets it right. NE drafts smartly, signs the right free-agents, and makes deft trades. They are a franchise everyone wants to emulate, but have yet to come close to imitating its success.

I predicted this matchup, much to warriorstorms chagrin (cmon if the jets exposed big ben, what did you think bill b was going to do????), and now im predicting again.
Philly wins it all.
It was a nice run for NE though and the former "HC of the NYJ" haha.

Just where are the steeler fans today , they got a gift from Herm(play to lose)Edwards and everyone knew "lil Ben " could not get it done and the 1st time The Bus was met in the whole on 3rd and 4th down and went backwards it was over. The pats were way to good and this comes from a jets fan so it is hard to say but this is the most under rated and best coached team I have ever saw. Brady is a monster he will have 3 rings before 28 yrs old a sure fire hall of famer the defense is great and the kicker is the best money kicker every.
But steeler fans will make excuse while crying in there yellow terrible towels.

You think McNabb can read the NE defense better than most? No way...they are going to have field day on him. His wr's, even without T.O., are very solid, but McNabb will throw more TD's to Patriots DB's than to his own receivers. Mark that down.
Another playoff win (10-0), another Super Bowl MVP, and another Super Bowl ring for the unheralded Tom Brady.

And Quess what next year the Pats will be better than this year if they are healthy the only bad thing is losing Charlie and Romeo, but the sick thing for the league is they will be as good or better next year does anyone say 4 out of 5? and I do not mean steelers losing champ game at home

Here is my prediction. EAGLES WIN THE SUPERBOWL !!!!!
Now before you accuse me of smoking crack here is my logic. Keep in mind I have been voting for nothing but Losers this past 6 months. John Kerry, Chargers, Jets,Indianapolis, Pittsburgh and now Philly.
1. My luck has to change sooner or later.
2. The mjmaherjr contrary indicator- Basically what this is just like in the stock market when everyone in the public gets either bearish or bullish you do the opposite and you usually come out pretty good I am applying the same theory to football. Nobody is giving Philly a chance which is why they will win.
Keep in mind I think N.E is the best team, and best run franchise in football in which they should be the gold standard to strive towards. But they have to lose some time. Either way I will just be rooting for my super bowl boxes anyway.

Prediction: Patriots 35, Eagles 31 ( In a thriller )
Tom Brady with this win will go down as one of the best quaterbacks of all time, no matter if he never wins another one, which is pretty hard to argue with since Bill Bellichick will be leading his way for the next couple of years. With this win Bellichick will surpass Parcells and join Lumbardi as one of the best coaches of all time.
Has anyone heard from WarriorStorm?????

Stop stealing my lines, you rotten you-know-what. Did I forget to include you in the gang that's supposed to leave with Leaf? :?
But we have to give credit to NorthShore who stood up like a man to take his beating. I think WarrierStorm is still sobbing into his terrible towel. :P
I can't wait to see what his new av will be next.
But lets face it, they had a great season, no expected them to do what they did. Congrats to Pitt.

What do you expect me to say? The Pats waxed us, thats all I can say. One thing I will say those picks (except the Harrison one) didn't have anything with to do with the Pats D, the guys were wide open and he overthrew them. I heard a joke this morning and it made me laugh if you live in a communist country and you want to start a movement go get Roethlisberger he'll overthrow anything.... Congrats to Lawfan he was right on with what was going to happen (Mike and No hope get credit too). I can't take much more of this, I'd rather get to the super bowl and lose every year (Bills of the 90s) then to lose 4 championship games at home in the last 10 years. Another thing, people need to get off Cowher's back for not winning these championship games, I am not taking a shot at the Jets or anything but I'd rather have a game that can get me to that point, this is the first time that they were never in the game.

Hurrah for WarriorStorm. It's better to show up (late) and take your medicine then to run and hide.
Believe it or not, I actually like Pittsburgh, and I would have rooted for them against any AFC team other than the Pats. A Steelers/Eagles SB would have been tough, because I rather like the Eagles too because of their similarity to the Pats.
I especially feel bad for Bettis, my favorite NFL RB. He and some of the other guys on that team had what was probably their last best shot for a SB this year and Ben cost them whatever chance they might have had. Not really Ben's fault - what can you expect from a rookie QB in that spot - but still too bad for Bettis, Ward, and some of the other good guys on that team.
I have to say that I've always liked Cowher, but I'm starting to wonder whether he's just a somewhat better version of Herm. He's a good guy and his teams play hard, but he seems to be really lacking in game planning ability and in-game decision making.
Anyway, good luck next year, Storm - but be prepared to meet the Pats again.
