FWIW, UConn fans don’t seen entirely positive on Tabor going their way. I’m also not ready to start conceding recruits to Hurley and others for no reason. SJU has just rebuilt and right now we have a very talented roster. No reason we can’t keep parlaying this to success. Lots of recruits are going to enjoy our style of play. This season can only help us demonstrate that to players.

To add, I see Tabor is taking several official visits this year. Gonna go out on a limb here and guess that he’s gonna reclassify for 2019 class. We shall see... he can hop in and take Heron’s spot if and when he declares. I hope that’s what Heron is telling him at least...

Article excerpt from last February;

“Tabor lives with the Heron family, confirmed Bryan Heron, father of former Hearts star Mustapha Heron. If Tabor is healthy and eligible to play this season, that would add significant intrigue to an already intriguing Division I state basketball tournament.”

1) sounds like we have more than a good shot at him

2) needs to get his grades in order.

3) leg injury may or may not be as real of an issue as is grades.

Hopefully all works out and we could be in a great spot. I wish some of these kids would consider NEPSAC prep programs when they need grade help.

Sounds like some solid connections to the kid.

How is his game? I'm very skeptical of the fundamentals of these OSNA kids.

My buddy JPM114 shared following after I asked him the same Q;

“I have several times and I like him a lot...the way St. John's plays he's a mult-position guy (2 thru 4) great scorer plays through contact and with an edge to him. Shooting is a work in progress but coming. Right now more scorer than shooter”

So, if his grades are an issue, he likely won't reclassify to 2019? Is he playing this season?

Thanks Paultz. Luv your avatar. The kid would be a very nice recruit for us, and one that seems ideal for Mullin's 'game'.

I saw him play in an AAU Tourney. He is a hell of an athlete has all the tools with a shot that needs a little work. He has the natural talent to improve the shot. He has excellent instincts and he also has multiple ways to score in the half court offense. As you get to college you have less opportunities to score in transition. He would be a solid addition to the team from a defensive perspective addition as he can cover multiple positions.
